European MBA programmes

The basic academic structure of the MBA is an overview of all the main functional areas of business. The first nine courses comprise core business subjects, covering key concepts in management, marketing, accounting, finance, operations, business ethics strategy and information systems for managers.

After completing their core programme, students may choose from four specialization areas:

  1. MBA (General Route)
  2. MBA in Human Resources Management
  3. MBA in Marketing
  4. MBA in Management of Information Systems
  5. MBA in Banking
  6. Executive MBA in Tourism Management

Core Modules

In particular, the MBA programme aims at:

Tailoring studies to your career

The MBA is acquired when the student successfully completes 13 weekend modules and submits a Consultancy Project. As a result they can continue to work while studying for their MBA degree. The MBA will be offered and delivered by local tutors, as well as visiting professors, approved by a joint Quality Committee of NYC Educational Group, UNYB and Institut Universitaire Kurt Bosch - IUKB.

Delivery of Modules

The duration of the taught part of the MBA program is 12 months. Students will be required to submit their Consultancy Project within six months after the completion of the courses. Modules are comprised of a total of 40 delivery hours spread over two block weekends a month, and two four-hour sessions on a weekday, usually Friday.

Consultancy Project

It is expected that students would normally need three to six months to complete the project. The course comprises a Research Methods component prior to the development of the project. Students undertake the role of an internal or external consultant and investigate a business problem with the aim to arrive at feasible solutions to the problem originally identified. To enable this, the action research approach will be used. The students complete the project under the supervision of a tutor.
